Basal Cell Carcinoma
The most common skin cancer and the overall most common
cancer of human beings. A locally destructive tumor which only
very rarely spreads through the body (metastasizes).
Squamous Cell Carcinoma
Shares many features in common with basal cell, but has a
higher risk of metastasis.
Melanoma
The most potentially serious of the "big three" skin cancers,
melanoma is highly curable when caught early.
Atypical Nevi
Abnormal appearing moles which may be precursors of
melanoma or markers for individuals at higher risk for
melanoma.
Actinic Keratoses
Precancerous lesions which may progress into squamous cell
carcinoma if untreated.
